The current situation brings with it many challenges, especially during unavoidable appointments such as property viewings or receiving deliveries. But with the right measures, you can minimise the risk of infection.
Hygiene rules for everyday life
Hygiene should also be observed at home to avoid possible infection via surfaces. Although the risk of infection through door handles or objects is low, it cannot be ruled out. Experts therefore recommend the following measures:
- Wash hands thoroughly with soap for at least 20 seconds
- Use the crook of your arm when coughing or sneezing
- Do not shake hands or touch your face
- Ventilate regularly to improve air circulation
- Consistently avoid crowds of people
Special care during property viewings
If you currently need to sell a property, ask your estate agent about the possibility of a virtual viewing. This method reduces the risk and still offers prospective buyers a good basis for making a decision. If an on-site viewing is unavoidable, make sure you strictly adhere to the hygiene rules.
Disinfection and protective measures
Surfaces such as door handles should be disinfected regularly. Choose a product that is effective against both bacteria and viruses. Respiratory masks only offer limited protection: FFP3 masks are the only effective option against virus droplets.
